Founded in 2020, Three Fold presents exploratory points of view on arts, culture, and society in addition to original works in various media, including visual art, literature, film and the performing arts. We solicit and commission contributions from multigenerational and multinational artists, writers, and activists around the world.  

This project is a collaborative effort. Five years ago, a volunteer collective of editors and advisors, including artists, authors, musicians, and curators based in Detroit, came together in response to the community need for dialogue and support. The result was the creation of the Three Fold arts journal.

Goals of Three Fold include publishing art and writing by a diverse range of local contributors at different stages of professional growth; pushing the arts forward by commissioning new creative works and showcasing writing with lasting literary value; and providing space for informative, reflective pieces that are not topical or time-sensitive, and thus less likely to be published in other forums.
